The standard we hold this site to

We are working to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard current guidance applies to public-facing websites, and it is the one we measure ourselves against.

What we have done

This site was audited on 6 September 2026. Every page was checked in a real browser rather than by automated scanner alone. As a result:

Every piece of text and every interface control on the site meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 contrast requirement. Nine controls that fell short were corrected, including the Add to Cart and Pre-Order buttons in the shop.

Every form field carries a programmatic label, every link has discernible text, and every page declares its language and uses proper landmark regions.

Every page opens with a "Skip to Main Content" control as its first keyboard stop, so a keyboard user can jump the navigation.

Every interactive control on the site is a native button, link or form field rather than a scripted graphic, so it responds to the keyboard by default. No element is given an artificial tab position, so the reading order and the keyboard order match.

Known issues

We would rather name these than have you discover them.

Some decorative background images announce a file name. Our website platform records these images as decorative but publishes their file name as the description anyway. No setting is available to us to change this. We have identified it and will correct it if and when the platform allows.

The product image zoom cannot be reached with a keyboard. This is a shop component supplied by our platform. It affects the enlarge-image feature only — product options, quantity, Add to Cart and the whole checkout are fully keyboard operable, so no part of buying is blocked.

How we test

Self-evaluation across every page, using browser inspection, contrast calculated per element against the WCAG relative-luminance formula, and structural review of headings, labels, landmark regions and focus order. We have not yet commissioned an independent expert audit or testing by people who use assistive technology daily. Both are planned.
